CJ Tree Surgeons is committed to measurable, low-carbon arboriculture: 100%
green-waste recycling, fewer miles, cleaner tools, and transparent reporting as we progress to net zero.

Our aim is to half ourCO₂ emissions by 2030 & achieve net zero by 2050.

This roadmap is based on current operational data and will be reviewed and updated in line with technological developments, regulatory requirements, and best practice. We will focus on credible reductions supported by evidence and will not overstate outcomes beyond our reasonable control.

Overall responsibility for this roadmap sits with company leadership, supported by our site operations teams.

To keep progress measurable, carbon actions and updates will be a standing agenda item in our team meetings. We will record meeting notes so we can evidence what we’ve discussed and what we’ve implemented over time.

Our emissions sources & estimations

Our main emissions sources are:

  • Company vehicles and fuel use

  • Electricity consumption

We estimate our emissions using UK Government conversion factors and guidance, updating calculations as the published factors change.

The Road to Net Zero:

This roadmap supports the UK Climate Change Act (2008), which commits to the UK achieving net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
