🌿 Today, CJ Tree Surgeons are Worcestershire & Birmingham’s top-rated tree cutting specialists, but this story began when owner James was just 17 years old.
Even from an early age, James had an innate affinity with the trees & the earth, spending all the time he could outdoors, and never understanding why everyone would want to be inside. To this day, he is happiest when tangled up in a 100ft poplar!
As soon as school ended, James’ love for nature scaled into a full-time occupation. He became an apprentice for a local tree surgery company, and quickly ‘climbed’ his way up the ranks to become a technically skilled arborist, with an exceptional talent for tree work.
With his green-fingered intuition for what makes trees thrive, and a born leader streak, James knew he wanted to start his own tree surgery company built on his roots; a deep respect of mother nature, and the environment.

So CJ Tree Surgeons settled those roots in a plot of land owned by a local farmer in Hanbury, Worcestershire.
Every morning at the break of dawn, the CJ Trees team of first-class tree surgeons are briefed on the day ahead & load up their vans with top of the range equipment, to the backdrop of rolling hills & nothing but the sound of the grass in the wind. 🌾

We truly love what we do, and believe we have the best job in the world. Which is exactly why, it’s our duty as tree surgeons to safeguard the very environment we love, by nurturing and respecting the life cycles of the trees we work with.
CJ Tree Surgeons follow the British Standard for Tree Work, which means we only complete tree maintenance that considers the soil, growing environment and the needs of other trees in the vicinity.
We also recycle 100% of our waste. The woodchip we produce is sent to power stations to be converted into electricity for the grid. It’s also used for local allotments and forest schools where children learn about the natural environment. All our wood is either sold as firewood for winter warmth or converted into high grade whole tree woodchip which is used for biomass - taking care of Mother Earth! 🍃
